Today it is the turn of the Gleniffer High School CfM team to set out on the long journey to Malawi. The good people of the school community from Renfrewshire are no strangers to Malawi, once again, staff and pupils are once again working in partnership with their partner school Dzenza PS, Dedza Central Malawi, where already they have worked to renovate four classrooms.

This fantastic young group will be working with our local team and community to renovate a completely dilapidated 5 classrooms block which has required a new roof, roof trusses, floors, windows, drains and much more. The Gleniffer team, in addition to the fun and interaction with the school community, will help with finishing touches and completely paint and decorate the renovated classrooms.

Seonaid Stevenson, CfM Trustee wished the team well last week at their annual school prize-giving ceremony, “this connection between Gleniffer and Dzenza truly represents why Classrooms for Malawi exist, and embodies the true partnership between Scotland and Malawi, it solves big problems in the community, but importantly, it breeds fun, friendship and laughs along the way!”

Keep updated on our social media channels to see how Gleniffer High School, and other CfM volunteer teams are getting on in the warm heart of Africa.
